Attorney Heidi Karr Sleper and co-counsel, Tim Coffey, secured a $1,050,000 verdict for a wrongfully terminated employee in a retaliatory discharge case. The jury found that 10 Roads Express, LLC fired the Plaintiff, Ronald Tatum, after he suffered an anxiety attack at work and sought and received medical treatment for the workplace injury. The verdict—entered on October 6, 2025, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois before Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman—consisted of $350,000 in lost wages and $700,000 in emotional distress damages.
