After being laid off back in 2012-2014 by Mayor Rahm Emanuel and former CPS CEO Arne Duncan, over 400 Black Chicago Public Schools teachers and other staff are set to receive a cut of a $9.25 million settlement that would end lawsuits citing the layoffs were racially discriminatory.
