About
I am originally from Round Lake Beach, Illinois, where I graduated from Round Lake Senior High School. After high school, I served in the United States Marine Corps from 1999 to 2003 as a Presidential Guard for President Clinton and President Bush. Following my military service, I joined the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (2003-2006), then returned home and worked with the Round Lake Beach Police Department from 2006 to 2014.
In 2011, I was diagnosed with cancer but successfully resumed work; however, a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 2014 concluded my career in law enforcement. Utilizing the Montgomery G.I. Bill and the Illinois Veterans Grant, I completed undergraduate studies at the College of Lake County and Eastern Illinois University through their University Center. I earned my J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law.
My legal experience includes serving as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Lake County, Illinois, and working as an associate attorney at Benos Sukhatme & Associates, where I handled IDES cases. Currently, I am proud to be a member of Workplace Law Partners.
