Pregnancy Discrimination Case Against Humboldt Park Health Heads to Trial

An Illinois Human Rights Commission judge has denied Humboldt Park Health's motion for summary decision, finding genuine factual disputes over our client's pregnancy discrimination and retaliation claims. Our client, a hospital Infection Prevention Manager, says she spent months seeking a basic lactation space, faced retaliation after speaking up, and was fired just two days after requesting to work remotely following a stress-related medical episode — despite a positive review only two months earlier. A status hearing is set for October 15, 2026, with trial to follow. A copy of the order can be found here.
